Endodontics
The LiteTouch™ Er:YAG Dental Laser is highly effective in removing bacteria organized in biofilm from the entire root canal system, including the dentinal tubules, lateral canals, isthmuses, ramifications, and root apex.
Using the LiteTouch™ tips for laser activation of an irrigant agent, the smear layer is effectively removed from the root canal system, opening the dentinal tubules, enhancing the prognosis of both initial and retreatment procedures. The laser’s disinfecting properties eliminate endodontic biofilms of bacterial or fungal origin, ensuring long-lasting results.
All steps of the apicectomy procedure (flap release, bone ablation, granulation tissue removal, and apex resection) can also be performed using the LiteTouch™, in a minimally invasive manner. This approach provides excellent disinfection of the surgical site and promotes optimal healing with minimal post-surgery complications.
The LiteTouch™ is an excellent choice for the removal of dental posts, including quartz, glass, and dentatus screws, among others. The laser light interacts with the cement, enabling the precise removal of the post without causing damage to the root surface.
Additionally, the LiteTouch™ supports complementary endodontic treatments, such as gingivectomy for ideal isolation with rubber dam clamps, as well as the removal of caries, and crowns to access the dental roots, among other applications.
