Er: YAG Laser in Handpiece

The LiteTouch™ Er:YAG Laser is highly effective for the rapid removal of aesthetic brackets without causing damage to the enamel surface. The debonding process using the LiteTouch™ laser is safe, with no impact on intra-pulp temperature.

Additionally, the LiteTouch™ Er:YAG laser can remove residual adhesive material from the enamel surface after the debonding of both metal and aesthetic orthodontic brackets, as well as aligner attachments. Using the laser instead of a mechanical drill eliminates vibration, thereby reducing the risk of trauma to the tooth or pulp.

Furthermore, LiteTouch™ irradiation is recommended as an efficient alternative to acid-etching for enamel surface preparation prior to bracket bonding, such as in cases involving the exposure of unerupted teeth. It also supports complementary orthodontic treatments, such as gingivectomy, frenectomy, and pocket disinfection, among other applications.
