Świder K, Dominiak M, 2019, published this clinical case of an implant bed preparation of tooth 35 with the LiteTouch™️ laser of a 34-year-old woman.
The result: Preparing the implant bed with the LiteTouch™️ Er:YAG laser increases bone integration and the healing process due to less thermal tissue damage and precision in bone preparation. Also, because of the photoacoustic phenomena, the implantation site showed decreased bleeding compared to the conventional procedure with the bur.
The conclusion: Lasers in dentistry have many advantages for dentists and patients. Within the present study, it was concluded that LiteTouch™️ Er:YAG laser application in implant bed preparation may represent a promising alternative to conventional surgical protocols.
