Dentin Hypersensitivity (DHS) is a condition many patients complain about and their dentists may offer a variety of different treatments to control their discomfort. With the LiteTouch™ Er:YAG Laser dentists can prevent and control Dentin Hypersensitivity in a safe and successful manner.

In this published article from China, Dr. Zhuang and colleagues showed that the LiteTouch™ Er:YAG Laser can manage dentin hypersensitivity. They evaluated different protocols for dentinal tubule occlusion, intrapulpal temperature, and pulpal tissue morphology and concluded that the LiteTouch™ laser irradiation could effectively occlude the dentinal tubules without any adverse thermal effects on the pulp.
